Capri: Island of pleasure
Undisturbed peace contrasting with a festive, colourful
atmosphere, Capri has an enduring reputation as a tantalizingly sybaritic
paradise. The classical antiquity associations go back to the times when it was
home to Emperor Tiberius and Axel Munthe. The Carthusian monastery is today a
museum and a centre for art and fashion displays. With its constant sunshine,
Capri deserves to be called "the Garden of Eden". Nature has blessed this spot
with the incomparably beautiful Blue Grotto, the Faraglioni Rocks and the Marina
Piccola - crowded with boats from all over the world.
