Day 1 Arrive in Enna

Day 2 Enna to Gangi

Your route manager will drop you at the start of your walk, just outside the village of Villadoro, from where drove roads lead across gently rolling hills with long views of Mount Etna, to the spectacularly situated village of  Gangi and perhaps the prettiest Baroque church in  Sicily (8.5miles).

Day  3 Free day in Gangi

Day 4 Gangi to Pomieri
Follow farm tracks then a fine section of medieval road, with its bridge still intact, to Geraci Siculo and its ruined Saracen castle, continuing across the Madonie Mountains(13.4miles)

Day 5 Pomieri to Piano Torre
Continue through the inspiring scenery of the Madonie, crossing a ridge and descending through woods past  a wildlife reserve , with fallow deer and wild boar.(8.5 miles).

Day 6 Piano Torre  to Cafalú
Walk through woods and follow  track with open views to the mountain village of Isnello. Climb to a sanctuary church before following a pilgrim route through increasingly sub-tropical vegetation towards the sea at Cefalú (14.5 miles).

Iconic appearance and delightful Baroque church.

* GERACI
Ruined Saracen castle and Saracen fountain .

Flanked by pine and  oak woods, this cluster of houses is reminiscent of a sleepy alpine village.
